Turtle Beach Ear Force PX5
I was alerted to some free to collector XBox 360 games on Facebook Marketplace, and these headphones were included with the bundle. They seem complete and in box, so may as well take a look
The box proudly claims they are compatible with the PS3 and Xbox360, but in reality they will work with anything as it has standard audio connections. Apparently they support Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound using only two speakers? Anyway the box is multi-language, so is text heavy
Not much going on here
All the specs are on the box, repeated several times in multiple languages
There's some instructions in the form of a leaflet inside the box
Inside the box there is a TRRS plug to plug lead, a USB power supply lead, and an optical lead, which was tightly wrapped around the base unit so no idea if it works
This is the plastic pack that holds it all together in the box, it looks like there was a cardboard back which is missing
Anyway the headphones have seen better days, but still pivot, swing and extend like they're supposed to
The base unit does all the signal processing, and it looks like it can work with normal headphones too, it offers various indicators and a Dolby bypass button, there's a volume control for the headphone socket too
The rear of the unit has optical in and out, analogue stereo line in, a volume control for the line in, a 5V power supply, and a power switch
The sides have different text on each side, the metal stand at the top can be removed
On the headphones themselves, there are several buttons and controls, starting with a USB charging input, an Xbox controller connector, a preset button, and a volume control, there is also a power botton above the microphone
It also has a Bluetooth volume control, and a pairing button, some kind of indicator, a mic mute button, and a main button, whatever that is, the internal battery is flat so I will need to charge them up first, and see if you can get replacement ear cushions!
